V/Line's new livery - Part 1: carriages

V/Line commenced repainting their carriage fleet into a new grey, white and red livery in late 2007, the offical launch being on September 12th at Southern Cross Station. So where have they gotten up to since?

Wagons for Metro works trains

This is the first in what will hopefully be a series of articles and photoessays on various railway subjects - there are times when an album or sequence of photos are just not enough to tell a story.

Metro Trains Melbourne have previous announced that they will be running their own works trains, insead of contacting out to other operators as Connex did. To acheive this, they are leasing locomotive and rolling stock from CFCLA.

Styling changes

I have made another round of page styling changes to make things look a bit cleaner, so far it looks that I have not broken anything!

Contact form

I just noticed that the contact form was not sending messages correctly (or at all!) - I have now fixed it up so they go through!

RSS feeds

I have added some RSS feeds to the site, showing the most recently uploaded files, and the most recent folders to have images added. You can add them to your RSS aggregator and see quickly what has changed.

Styling tweaks

I have made the thumbnail images much bigger, and tweaked how full sized images are displayed. Hopefully it makes photos easier to browse.

Site issues this evening

I noticed this evening that some Malware had been inserted into my site's code, which then attempted to exploit holes in visitors web browsers to install nasties onto their computers. I took the site offline for a few hours to restore from backups, and now it is all clean again. Firefox or Google may still flag the site as a 'suspected attack site' but the issue has been fixed.

Finally online, and updates

I have finally gotten around to uploading everything. Now I just need to go though the past week of photos I have taken in the east of Victoria...

Launch of the site

Hi all, I wasn't fully happy with my old photo site http://wongm.fotopic.net/ which is the reason behind my new one.

You can browse photos by theme, by album, or by date. You can also see random photos, or recently uploaded photos.
