Another milestone for me - Wongm's Rail Gallery page on Facebook has hit 2000 likes. Thanks to everyone - it took eight years to get the first 1000 likes, but only two years to get the next 1000!

Why the lack of new photos?

Monday 18 May 2020 9:35 AM

As you might have noticed I haven't uploaded many photos recently - this graph really shows the decline.

Photos taken per month, until April 2020

The last time I uploaded so few photos was when I went overseas!

But luckily for you I haven't been wasting the Coronavirus lockdown - I've been still regularly updating my main blog, my Hong Kong transport and European rail spinoffs, along with uploading my backlog of non-train photos to Flickr.

Finally back up to date!

Sunday 24 November 2019 9:38 PM

After a busy few weeks, I've finally caught up with my backlog of photo uploads - that's what happens after spending a few weekend riding trains instead of sorting out photos!

On a side note, I've got page on Patreon! Patreon is a simple way for you to contribute to the running of my photo gallery every month, and you get a sneak peek at what's coming up on my other websites in return!

Photos from my 2019 visit to Adelaide

Wednesday 9 October 2019 6:06 PM

I've just returned from another trip to Adelaide on The Overland to ride trains trams, and buses.

A-City train 4015 heads for the city at Goodwood

Along the way I saw:

  • Day 1: The Overland from Melbourne to Adelaide,
  • Day 2: trains to Bowden then Cloverley Park, trams on the new extension to the Botanic Gardens, and buses through the new O-Bahn tunnel,
  • Day 3: train to Port Adelaide, and a visit to the National Railway Museum,
  • Day 4: returning to Melbourne on The Overland

I've just launched my page on Patreon

Reorganising my bus photos

Friday 4 January 2019 12:28 PM
When I first launched this site over a decade ago, any photos I happened to take of buses ended up in a single album titled 'buses'. Fast forward to now, and there are now 1500+ photos across 60+ pages in that album!

To make life easier I've sorted them into albums by bus operator - you can find the full set here, along with a feed of just newly uploaded bus photos.

X'Trapolis 5M departs Keon Park station, with a route 902 bus waiting at the level crossing

Finally for those you you not interested in buses or trams, I've got a page of just the latest train photos.
