The weirdest mode of public transport in Adelaide is the O-Bahn - a concrete guideway that lets buses run at 100 km/h, and the driver don't need to steer.

With the O-Bahn Busway in Adelaide they need a special double ended tow truck to rescue buses stranded on the concrete guideway. It also seems to be used to move normal buses.

All of the route bus services in Adelaide are operated under the AdelaideMetro name and livery, but are contracted out to a number of private companies. As of 2011 a new red front livery is replacing the previous yellow fronted version.

Freight trains around suburban Adelaide: the arrive from the north and east, and head for Dry Creek and the Lefevre Peninsula. The majority are standard gauge, the exception being the broad gauge Penrice stone train.
