Steamrail - Last Steam to Albury 2008

Steamrail ran their 'Last Steam to Albury' tour on June 14, 2008 with R761 up front, with D3 658 assisting to Seymour. The photos are from Heathcote Junction in the morning all the way until the eventual 2 am cancellation at Seymour.

It left late, lost it's path, arrived late at Albury, got put away at Wangaratta for 2 hours, and almost made it back to Seymour when it came to a halt. The train crawled into Seymour at 2 am and was cancelled due to a lack of signallers along the line, the passengers travelling onward on buses. By 3:30 am they well all gone, the carriages stabled in the yard, the loco places in the SRHC depot where their fires were dropped.
