On 13 October 2018 the Level Crossing Removal Authority chartered a train from the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre as part of the 'Corridor Carnival' to celebrate the completion of the Caulfield - Dandenong level crossing removal project. B74 and X31 run the train push pull, which also featured observation car 'Yarra'.

On the weekend of Friday 14 to Sunday 16 July 2023 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran a standard gauge train to S307 and C501 from Seymour to Portland and return, running shuttles between Portland and Hamilton on the Saturday.
SRHC - Royal Train charter for St James Rail 2023

From Thursday 23 to Wednesday 29 November 2023 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran their 'Royal Train' with A66, T382 and T378 on a charter for St James Rail, taking passengers from Melbourne to Warrnambool, on to Bendigo, and finally back from Echuca to Melbourne.

On 22 April 2023 C501 and T357 headed from Seymour to the SCT depot at Laverton to pick up diesel locomotive S307 recently acquired from Pacific National, and return it to their depot. The train used the current SRHC fleet of standard gauge carriages, as well as their recently acquired V/Line carriage set SN1.

On 1 December 2019 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran the Santa’s Express train from Seymour to Bendigo via SOuthern Cross. X31, B74 and T378 led the train, made up of State Car 4, State Car 5, 3BS, Dining Car, Mitta Mitta, 1BE, 5ABE, 30AE, and parlor car Yarra.
SRHC - Spirit of Progress 70th Anniversary Tour 2007

The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre operated a Spirit of Progress 70th Anniversary Tour, with locomotives B74 and S303 used along with the majority of the original carriage consist. The train ran from Seymour to Albury and return via Southern Cross Station, with a side trip from Albury to the turntable at Wodonga to turn Parlor Car and the locomotives.

The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre operated a Spirit of Progress 80th Anniversary Tour, with locomotives B74 and S303 used along with the majority of the original carriage consist. The train ran from Seymour to Ballarat, travelling via Sunshine, Newport and North Shore in both directions.

On the weekend of 15 and 16 April 2023 Steamrail operated charter trains for 'The Wizardry Express'. 'K100' and K190 ran the train push pull out of Flinders Street Station, turning back at Sunshine, with passengers treated to a magic themed train journey that was 100% not infringing the copyright of the popular 'Harry Power' series of books.
