But scroll no more - I've updated the look and feel of this site so it automatically resizes for smaller screens, so that it doesn't matter what device you are using.

Playing catchup after a trip to New South Wales

In October I spent a week up in New South Wales, and managed to see some trains along the way - the photos of which I have just finished uploading!

8152 and 8169 lead a grain train north out of Cootamundra

As to what I saw:

  • Day 1 and day 2: driving north from Victoria via Albury and Goulburn.
  • Day 3 and day 4: out and about in Sydney.
  • Day 5: Cootamundra, Junee and Harefield.
  • Day 6: Wangaratta, Benalla and Violet Town.

I've been busy for the past few weeks, but I've finally caught up with my backlog of photos.

First up - a long weekend featuring Melbourne to Adelaide on The Overland, a day exploring Adelaide, and finally catching The Overland back east.

It has taken me a while, but my photos from the second half of my Queensland trip are now online.

It has taken a few weeks, but I have finally gotten around to uploading the photos I took my my recent trip to Brisbane.

QR 2158 leads a lightly longer consist out northbound at Normanby

  • April 8: buses at Melbourne Airport and trains in inner Brisbane.
  • April 9: long distance, suburban and freight trains on the Exhibition Loop, as well as a visit to the Port of Brisbane.
  • April 11: suburban trains at Roma Street.
  • April 12: trackworks at Bowen Hills, and diverted trains via the Exhibition Loop.
  • April 13: suburban trains in inner Brisbane.

Back on track after a few weeks off

After a busy few weeks of visiting Queensland, getting married and heading off on my honeymoon, I've finally cleared my backlog of photos taken in Melbourne during April. You can find them in the normal place, on the Recent Uploads page.

Coming up at a future date will be my photos from Queensland!

After years of uploading photos that were only 1024 by 683 pixels in size, I have now switched to the much larger 1920 by 1280 resolution - the same size as 'high definition' video. Hopefully this makes viewing my photos better for anyone using a larger screen.

A trip to Queensland

In late August I headed up to Queensland for a few days, so I could travel on The Sunlander up to Cairns. I'm slowly getting around to uploading the photos from that trip!
