In album: Transfer of accident damaged NR51, April 2010

In April 2010 accident damaged diesel locomotive NR51 was transferred to the UGL workshops at Spotswood, after being damaged in a February 2009 derailment on the Trans-Australian line. The prime mover inside had been removed, the brakes piped through, and the cab shrink wrapped with plastic. The first stage of the transfer was dead attached to PW4 freight, with the final leg from South Dynon to Spotswood requiring eight other NR classes to assist.
