On the weekend of 7-9 May 2021 707 Operations ran their 'The Grainlander' train to Sea Lake, Wycheproof and Nullawil. A66 led H5 and S306 on the train, made up of D 318, PCP 294, BZ 270, BRS 224, NAM 2336, LAN 2354, Club 1, BK 708, SJ 284, JTA 6, and Wando.

On 2 May 2021 Steamrail ran a 'Rail and Sail' trip from Melbourne to Geelong and return behind R761 and K190. 1 BCE, 25 BE, 46 BE, 17 BE, 14 BRS, 7 ABE, 600 BK, 700 BK, 38 BE made up the train.

SRHC - Royal Train charter to Warrnambool, April 2021

On 27 March 2021 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran a charter train from Melbourne to Warrnambool on behalf of Captain's Choice tours, who were running a six day regional Victoria and silo art tour. The train was stabled the night before at McIntyre, running via the GEB silos at Sunshine.

On 27 March 2021 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran a charter train from Warrnambool to Melbourne on behalf of Captain's Choice tours, who were running a six day regional Victoria and silo art tour. The train was transferred the night before via Melbourne Yard and Sunshine.

Steamrail - whY not Suburban Tour 2021

21 March 2021

On 21 March 2021 Y112 was finally able to lead the 'whY not Suburban Tour' that was first attempted back in 2019. Timetabled to run from Newport via the goods lines to Southern Cross Station, Sunshine, Somerton, Essendon and Westall, the down leg to Sunshine via the Bunbury Street Tunnel was dropped for an express run via the suburban tracks due to late running, and issues with Y112 saw the leg from Somerton to Westall dropped for a direct return to Newport via the goods lines. T356 then took the over train from Newport to Southern Cross and return.

South Gippsland Railway

On 6 March 2021 Steamrail Victoria took S313 to Seymour to mark the 60th birthday of the locomotive. Due to no turntable at Southern Cross Station, T356 led the empty car move from Newport Workshops.

Heritage A class locomotive transfers

On 6 June 2020 V/Line heritage allocated locomotives were collected from South Dynon by their new owners - A60 to the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre and A62 to 707 Operations. Both locomotives needed to be transferred between passenger carriages due to the lack of working brake equipment.

Newport Workshops: Downer Group and Siemens Rail

Newport Workshops is the main railway heavy repair and maintenance facility in Melbourne. The eastern side is occupied by EDI Rail and Siemens, while the older buildings in West Block are occupied by heritage operators Steamrail Victoria and 707 Operations. The East Block is used as storage by VicTrack. Photos include some from a tour of the EDI section featuring the locomotive, bogie and wheel shops.

On 8 February 2020 Steamrail Victoria ran their 'Y Class Shunters Tour' around Melbourne. The tour started at Newport, with Y164 being joined by V/Line shunter Y163 at Southern Cross Station, then running to Werribee, Westall and Maddingley, before returning to Southern Cross and Newport.

On 1 December 2019 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran the Santa’s Express train from Seymour to Bendigo via SOuthern Cross. X31, B74 and T378 led the train, made up of State Car 4, State Car 5, 3BS, Dining Car, Mitta Mitta, 1BE, 5ABE, 30AE, and parlor car Yarra.

On 24 November 2019 707 Operations ran a steam hauled heritage train from Melbourne's Southern Cross Station to Geelong for the 2019 Geelong Revival Motoring Festival. The train via via Altona and Werribee on the down and Wyndham Vale on the up, with R707 and T392 hauling a train made up of carriages PCP294, JTA6, ACZ255, BZ270, CLUB1, BS205 and BK708.

Steamrail - whY not Suburban Tour 2019

On 17 November 2019 T356 led the 'whY not Suburban Tour' from Southern Cross Station to Somerton and Werribee via Sunshine, Essendon and the Bunbury Street Tunnel. Originally intended to be hauled by Y class steam locomotive Y112, it was a late scratching due to mechanical problems. The train was made up of carriages 600BK, 14BRS, 67BW, 64AW, 7ABE, and 1BCE.

On 21 July 2019 707 Operations ran a charter for 'Cruise Express' from Southern Cross to Newport Workshops and Seymour. R707 and Y127 led the first half of the tour, with R707, H3 and H5 taking over to Seymour, with carriages PCP 294, ACZ 255, BRS 224, BS 205, BS 212, Club 1, JTA6, D318 and Dining Car making up the train.
