SRHC - Royal Train charter for St James Rail 2023

From Thursday 23 to Wednesday 29 November 2023 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran their 'Royal Train' with A66, T382 and T378 on a charter for St James Rail, taking passengers from Melbourne to Warrnambool, on to Bendigo, and finally back from Echuca to Melbourne.

SRHC - Castlemaine charter, 2023

On Sunday 23 July 2023 SRHC operated a charter from Seymour to Castlemaine via Southern Cross, running empty to Bendigo, and then the reverse. The train was made up of X31 with State Car 4, 5ABE, 16ABE and Yarra.

On the weekend of Friday 14 to Sunday 16 July 2023 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran a standard gauge train to S307 and C501 from Seymour to Portland and return, running shuttles between Portland and Hamilton on the Saturday.

SRHC - S307 Homecoming tour

On 22 April 2023 C501 and T357 headed from Seymour to the SCT depot at Laverton to pick up diesel locomotive S307 recently acquired from Pacific National, and return it to their depot. The train used the current SRHC fleet of standard gauge carriages, as well as their recently acquired V/Line carriage set SN1.

On Saturday 4th March 2023 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre sent their 'Royal Train' consist to Warrnambool behind A66 and X31, running shuttles from Warrnambool to Boorcan and return, before returning the next day to Melbourne on a Captain's Choice tour charter.

S303 and T357 lead the train, made up of Parlor Car, 1BS, 4AS, 3AS, 11BS, 1CS and ex-V/Line power van 10PZ.

On Monday 15 August 2022 the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran a special train from Stawell to Broadmeadows transporting passengers on the Cruise Express 'Grand Southern Loop' tour of NSW, South Australia and Victoria. N460 lead the train, made up of 1CS, 3AS, 4AS, 11BS, 1BS and Parlor Car.
V/Line - standard gauge transfers to Ettamogah

Following their replacement by the new standard gauge VLocity trains in 2022, V/Line's fleet of standard gauge carriages used on the Albury line were transferred to the SRHC depot in Seymour for storage. On 2 August 2022 six of the stored carriages, along with three recently retired carriages, were transferred by V/Line from Melbourne to Seymour and on to Albury, where they are being put into storage at Ettamogah on behalf of the rail heritage groups they are being handed over to. From north end the consist was ACN45, BN22, BN10, BN7, BRN34, ACN24 (all stripped of livery) then PTV liveried BN5, BRN43 and ACN48.

Heritage A class locomotive transfers 2020

On 6 June 2020 V/Line heritage allocated locomotives were collected from South Dynon by their new owners - A60 to the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre and A62 to 707 Operations. Both locomotives needed to be transferred between passenger carriages due to the lack of working brake equipment.

On 13 October 2018 the Level Crossing Removal Authority chartered a train from the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre as part of the 'Corridor Carnival' to celebrate the completion of the Caulfield - Dandenong level crossing removal project. B74 and X31 run the train push pull, which also featured observation car 'Yarra'.

On November 21, 2015 C501 and C510 led a train from Melbourne to Albury and return, using the Steamrail fleet of standard gauge K carriages. Due to Southern Cross only have two standard gauge platforms that are both occupied on Saturday mornings, the train commenced empty cars at South Dynon, then picked up passengers at Broadmeadows station.

On July 12th the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre ran a special train from Seymour through the Goulburn Valley to Tocumwal. V/Line's N468 and SRHC's T320 were the locomotives, with 10 carriages: 'State 4', four S cars, four E cars and 'Yarra'.
Steamrail - Last Steam to Albury 2008

Steamrail ran their 'Last Steam to Albury' tour on June 14, 2008 with R761 up front, with D3 658 assisting to Seymour. The photos are from Heathcote Junction in the morning all the way until the eventual 2 am cancellation at Seymour. It left late, lost it's path, arrived late at Albury, got put away at Wangaratta for 2 hours, and almost made it back to Seymour when it came to a halt. The train crawled into Seymour at 2 am and was cancelled due to a lack of signallers along the line, the passengers travelling onward on buses. By 3:30 am they well all gone, the carriages stabled in the yard, the loco places in the SRHC depot where their fires were dropped.
