Position of Train System (POTS) transponder located between the rails

In album: Track, rail and sleepers

There are around 650 units around the suburban network, located at major junctions as well as intermediate locations. When a train runs over the top, the antenna picks up the unique identifier, then transmits the data back to Metrol via radio, enabling them to know where a specific train set currently is.
