Bendigo line resleepering

In August 2022 V/Line commenced a $15 million project to replace 50,000+ timber sleepers with concrete ones on the 'slow' track between Sunbury and Kyneton. The works will allow VLocity trains to use the line at 130 km/h, up from the 115 km/h limit put in place in August 2019, following the discovery that VLocity trains are now heavier than when first delivered.
